Michele Moreland is the Chair of IIPCC San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. Michele’s deep understanding of IP and how it enables entrepreneurs and innovators to be sustainable and successful informs her work as Trusted Advisor and Strategic IP Counsel at Moreland Strategic.  A 20+ year lawyer, Michele has a proven track record in litigation, licensing, patent portfolio development. She provides patent portfolio development and patent commercialization and monetization advisory services. Her firm’s mission is to ensure that her client’s value proposition is protected from competitive threats by creating an IP strategy tailored to the company’s business objectives and executing that strategy cost-effectively.  
 
Prior to founding Moreland Strategic, Michele was a Director in the IP Credit Group at Fortress Investment Group.  Michele was also a Director of Acquisitions at RPX. Prior to RPX, Michele tried patent cases in the U.S. district courts and at the International Trade Commission. She received her J.D. and B.A. from Santa Clara University and is a member of the California State Bar.
